FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fayetteville’s residential recycling, trash and yard waste collection routes will not be affected by the winter holidays in 2020.

Residential routes run Monday through Thursday, and both upcoming holidays fall on a Friday this year.

City offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday (Dec. 24 and 25), and Friday, Jan. 1. That includes the Recycling and Trash Collection office and Transfer Station.

As a reminder, customers with curbside service receive four extra bag pick-ups to use throughout the year free of charge. For those who still haven’t used their four-bag allotment can place extra bags next to their carts which can be helpful around the holidays.

After the free pick-ups are used, households are charged $6.80 for each additional bag pick-up.
