FAYETTEVILLE, AR — On February 2nd, around 8:30 a.m. a 73-year-old man from Fayetteville was hit by a car while walking on State Highway 45 east of Fayetteville.
Reportedly, the car was travelling on westbound when it swerved to the right in order to avoid another vehicle that was stopped on the road, and it struck Charles Payne, 73.
The victim was taken to Washington Regional Medical Facility, where he succumbed to his injuries.
